Addiction Services: Adult Drug Court Through Wicomico County Circuit Court


Effective 03/18/2020, Behavioral Health will offer limited services. Staff will still answer the phones. Existing clients will be contacted directly to discuss care options (ex: telehealth). Methadone Program continues to operate on an altered schedule.

Taking Care of Your Behavioral Health: Tips for Social Distancing, Quarantine & Isolation

The Wicomico County Health Department screens and treats individuals that are referred and admitted to the Wicomico County Circuit Drug Court.  To participate in Drug Court, the participants need to meet criteria for ASAM Level II Care.  Evaluations can also be completed for participants who are incarcerated at the local detention center.

The Intensive Outpatient Program is designed for individuals who require more structure and support than a low-intensity, traditional outpatient program, and who do not need a medically managed inpatient program. IOP provides an opportunity for patients to gain stability and maintain abstinence, and to learn and practice behaviors in their social environment which support recovery. Both daytime and nighttime groups are available.
