Local Health Improvement Coalition 

 

The Wicomico Local Health Improvement Coalition (LHIC) identifies jurisdictional-level stakeholders, collaborates with local partners and public health to set priorities for our community, and addresses health priorities by providing input on programs, policies, and coordinated efforts with programmatic, data, and infrastructure support from the state and county.  
 
LHIC membership includes stakeholders from sectors including but not limited to: health care service providers, local commerce and business, law enforcement, corrections, education, social service organizations, non-profits, community service organizations, faith based organizations, health care organizations, local government, media entities, and community members.  LHIC members serve without compensation.
 
LHIC meetings are open to the public and offered in a hybrid format. Meetings are held in the Adkins Conference Room at 801 N. Salisbury Blvd., Suite 202, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the first Friday of February, April, June, August, October, and December. Membership is Open to Everyone

Individuals from Wicomico County, as well as representatives from organizations serving Wicomico County are encouraged to participate. Any interested party may join the coalition or any of its subcommittees at any time.
