Medical Transportation can distribute bus tickets to eligible clients ONLY if they have three or more appointments per week. All appointments must be documented by the provider and received by our office prior to issuing bus tickets.See links above for the form.
Transportation to locations in Somerset and Worcester Counties is limited to Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Medical Transportation does not travel to Ocean City.
Transportation to locations East of the Bay Bridge is limited to Tuesdays and Thursdays only, and your appointment time must be between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Locations include, but are not limited to: Cambridge, Centreville, Chestertown, Denton, Easton, Kent Island, Stevensville, Vienna, Wye Mills.
Transportation to locations West of the Bay Bridge is limited to Monday through Thursday only, and your appointment time must be between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Locations include, but are not limited to: Annapolis, Baltimore, Bowie, Catonsville, Dundalk, Glen Burnie, Gwynn Oak, Laurel, Lutherville, Owings Mills, Rosedale, Timonium, Westminster.
In an effort to make long distance trips more efficient and reduce travel time for medical appointments, clients will need to be at the same location they were dropped off in order to receive pick up. Leaving the facility where the appointment is scheduled is prohibited. Transportation will wait 30 minutes from the scheduled appointment end time. Clients who leave their appointments and are missing for hours will be responsible for finding their own transportation back to the Eastern Shore. Trips across the bridge make a very long day when travel time is taken into account. The Medical Assistance Transportation Program hopes the 30 minute wait time will help reduce the time you are traveling.
