June 7, 2018 (Salisbury, MD) The Wicomico County Health Department is offering a free workshop to educate leaders of health and health related non-profit/501(c)(3) minority organizations in Wicomico about health equity and health disparities. The session will cover how to improve the health outcomes of racial and ethnic minority communities through community engagement, partnerships, and outreach.    
The workshop will be held June 27, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Flanders Room of the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center, 500 Glen Ave., Salisbury, MD. Speakers include Sedonna M.Brown, MS, RN, nursing instructor at Salisbury University and Donna Clark, RN, director of Help and Outreach Point of Entry (HOPE), Inc. The workshop is free, and includes a light breakfast.
