HEALTH DEPARTMENT VACCINATION WILL MOVE INTO PHASE 1C

MONDAY JANUARY 25, 2021

(January 22, 2021, Salisbury, MD) Since the week of December 21st, the Wicomico County Health Department (WiCHD) has held thirteen vaccination clinics for those individuals listed in Phase 1A and 1B. Throughout these thirteen clinics, WiCHD administered the first dose and started second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to 2,599 people.  Of those vaccinations, 1,248 were administered this week alone.  Starting Monday January 25th 1C will be eligible (Please understand we are still trying to serve people in 1A and 1B) please email [email protected]  the Health Department will email you a link to make an appointment when appointments are available.

 In following the State of Maryland’s updated COVID-19 Vaccination Plan, the Wicomico County Health Department will start to schedule vaccinations for only those listed in Phase 1C such as:

 

  • Individuals 65+
  • All other public safety(not in 1A)
  • Essential/Healthcare workers(not in 1A) including but not limited to Lab Services, Public Health, Vaccine Manufacturing, or other Healthcare Professions
  • Higher education teachers
  • Food and Agriculture production
  • Critical Manufacturing
  • S. Postal Service
  • Public Mass Transit
  • Grocery Stores
  • Veterinarians and Support Staff

 

The Health Department is in the process of contacting those in Phase 1A and 1B.  Please bring the following to the vaccination center:

  • Proof of age (Drivers License)
  • Proof of employment (Wicomico Public Schools ID, Day Care Providers company letterhead)
  • Assisted Living/Group Homes will be vaccinated on site
  • Government ID
