AMERICAN DIABETES MONTH
  Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. The cause of diabetes continues to be a mystery, although both genetics and environmental factors such as obesity and lack of exercise appear to play roles. NATIONAL ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AWARENESS MONTH
  Alzheimer's is a disease that attacks the brain. Is the most common form of dementia, a general term for the loss of memory and other intellectual abilities serious enough to interfere with daily life. It is a progressive and fatal brain disease. As many as 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer's destroys brain cells, causing problems with memory, thinking and behavior severe enough to affect work, lifelong hobbies or social life. Alzheimer’s gets worse over time, and it is fatal.
