BIRTH CERTIFICATES:
*WE CAN ONLY ISSUE BIRTH CERTIFICATES FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS BORN IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND ONLY*
- The cost is $32.00 cash/credit/debit for each certificate requested (no checks accepted)
- Only the named individual or the parents listed on the certificate can obtain a certified copy of it.
- You must provide current proof of identification to obtain a birth certificate the same day (ex: Driver's liscence, state issued ID card, school ID (showing the current year), Veteran/Military ID, prison ID with picture (expiration date needs to be listed), and a US passport)

If you do not have current proof of identification:
There are several options for those who do not have proper proof of identification and still wish to obtain a certified copy of their birth certificate.
-Your mother or father (stated on the certificate) can obtain it for you as long as they have current proof of identification.
-You give a friend or family member permission by writing a statement authorizing them to obtain the birth certifcate for you and this statement MUST be notarized. That person will then bring in the statement, their ID/liscence, $32.00 and the application and they can recieve the birth certificate for you.
-We can mail you your birth certificate if you provide two (different) of the following:
*social security card *current property deed
*paystub *utility bill with current address
*current car registration *copy of a current tax return
*current bank statement *copy of a W-2 form
*current rental/lease agreement
