(Salisbury,
MD) -
Recent Wicomico High School graduate and avid softball
player, Dana Lowe, was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma
at the age of fifteen. Now, she is spreading the
message! In conjunction with PAC 14 and the Wicomico
County Health Department, Dana created a Public Service
Announcement targeting young athletes who spend a
significant amount of time outdoors in the sun. Dana
reminds athletes that skin cancer can happen to anyone
regardless of their age, and that clothing such as
uniforms will not totally protect you. The PSA
encourages young athletes to protect their skin by
wearing an SPF of 15 or higher every day.
